Tahoe's Young Baseball Heroes Set to Dominate Regional Championship

When the South Tahoe 14U Babe Ruth All-Stars stepped onto Todd Field last Monday, they didn’t just play baseball, they sent a thundering message that small-town talent can crush big-time competition.
A State Championship to Remember
In two jaw-dropping games against Fallon, the team obliterated their opponents with jaw-dropping performances that would make any local proud. Cayson Gomez kicked things off with a masterful one-hit shutout in the first game, striking out four batters and walking just one. His teammate Seamus Donahue wasn’t just along for the ride, he powered the team with 3 RBIs and helped secure a dominant 10-0 victory.
Breaking Records, Breaking Barriers
The second game was even more impressive. Donovan Gomez mirrored his brother’s pitching brilliance with another one-hit shutout, while the team’s batting lineup went into overdrive. Seamus Donahue again led the offensive charge with 4 RBIs, and players like Max Vadnais, Hudson James, and Otto Eckholm turned the field into their personal playground with multiple runs.
The Road to Regionals
Now, these young athletes are heading to the Babe Ruth Pacific Southwest Regionals in Orcutt, California, representing Nevada against champions from Arizona, California, and Hawaii. But championship dreams aren’t free, the team is seeking community support to cover lodging, meals, and transportation.
If you want to support these local legends, donations are tax-deductible. Send a check to Babe Ruth of SLT at P.O. Box 14103, South Lake Tahoe, CA 96151, or visit their fundraiser at gofund.me/1aa9de6c. These kids aren’t just playing baseball, they’re writing Tahoe’s next epic sports story.
