Hold onto your hockey helmets, Tahoe sports fans, the Knight Monsters just served up a weekend of ice-cold revenge that’ll have everyone talking at the local apres-ski spot.
After a grueling road trip, our hometown heroes returned to Tahoe Blue Event Center ready to battle the Savannah Ghost Pirates in a three-game series that was nothing short of epic.
School Day Shutout
Thursday kicked off with a killer performance that would make any local high school hockey coach proud. Rookie Jordan Gustafson scored his first professional goal, launching the Knight Monsters to a stunning 2-1 victory. Goaltender Cameron Whitehead was the true MVP, blocking an insane 44 of 45 shots and essentially giving the Ghost Pirates a masterclass in hockey defense.
Friday’s Brutal Beatdown
Friday wasn’t as kind. The Ghost Pirates went full offensive nightmare, crushing the Knight Monsters 8-1 in a game that felt more like a hockey horror show. Savannah’s players were firing shots faster than powder day ski lifts, leaving Tahoe’s squad looking shell-shocked.
Weekend Redemption
But Saturday? Pure magic. Devon Paliani and Sloan Stanick led a comeback that would make any weekend warrior proud, securing a dramatic 4-3 victory. With Cameron Whitehead once again protecting the net like a boss, the Knight Monsters proved why they’re the team to watch this season.
The Knights return home on November 28th for Wizard Weekend against the Tulsa Oilers, a matchup no true Tahoe hockey fan will want to miss. Puck drops at 7:00 pm, with pregame coverage starting at 6:50 pm. Grab your tickets and get ready for some serious hockey action!
