Ace Your Summer: Junior Tennis Camps Drop in Tahoe

GAME ON

Summer’s about to serve up some serious fun for Tahoe’s young athletes! The Zephyr Cove Tennis Club is rolling out its junior tennis camps, offering budding tennis stars a chance to level up their game and soak up some lakeside energy. Whether you’re a tiny tot just learning to swing or a high school player looking to crush your tournament game, these camps are your ticket to summer sporting excellence.

From Tiny Aces to Tournament Prep

Head Pro Dave Nostrant, a USPTA Elite Pro with decades of experience, is leading the charge. The camp lineup is as diverse as Tahoe’s terrain, with programs designed for ages 5 to 17. Tiny Aces (ages 5-8) can learn the basics in adorable 45-minute sessions, while Rising Stars (ages 7-10) and Tournament Prep groups (ages 9-12) get more technical training. High schoolers aren’t left out, they’ve got their own dedicated camp to sharpen those competitive skills.

Summer Camp Breakdown

Camps run from June 16 to August 14, with weekly sessions Monday through Thursday. Prices range from $60 to $100 per week, making it a relatively affordable summer activity. Pro tip: Mark your calendar for the Annual Juniors’ Free Tennis Clinic on June 7, where kids can get a taste of the sport without dropping a dime.

More Than Just a Game

These aren’t just tennis camps, they’re community builders. With limited spots and a focus on skill progression, participants get personalized attention and the chance to meet fellow young athletes. Bonus: Post-clinic pizza and cookies ensure the learning doesn’t stop when the rackets go down.
