When most people are putting away their skis, Alpine Meadows turns the mountain into a golfer’s paradise, and trust us, this is NOT your grandpa’s golf tournament.

On a picture-perfect Saturday, over 300 snow-loving golf enthusiasts descended on the resort for the 39th annual Snow Golf Tournament, transforming Summit Express into the most unusual fairway you’ve ever seen. Picture this: golfers trading ski gear for polos, teeing off against a backdrop of Lake Tahoe’s crystal-clear waters and snow-capped peaks.

A Day Unlike Any Other

The ten-hole course wasn’t just a test of skill, but a celebration of pure mountain madness. Participants launched golf balls down steep runs, navigating terrain that would make traditional golfers weep. Creative trick shots became the day’s highlight, with more laughs per hole than professional tournaments see in a season.

Party Like a Caddy

After a day of alpine golfing insanity, The Chalet hosted a Caddyshack-themed afterparty that would make Bill Murray proud. Prizes went to both top performers and those with the most outrageous golf attire, because in Tahoe, style points absolutely count.

This wasn’t just a tournament; it was a testament to Tahoe’s adventurous spirit. Where else could you combine winter sports’ adrenaline with golf’s precision and create something so gloriously ridiculous? Only in our mountain playground.

Whether you’re a scratch golfer or someone who considers mini-golf a competitive sport, Alpine’s Snow Golf Tournament proves that in Tahoe, we don’t just embrace unique traditions, we absolutely crush them.
